Meet The Owner
Tyler Drake, CPA
Owner/Founder
Hello! My name is Tyler Drake and I am the owner of SMB Accounting Solutions, LLC. I’m driven by a desire to help people, and I opened SMB to help business owners understand their finances, remove the stress of bookkeeping and free up time to focus on what matters most to them.
Before I started SMB, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. I initially worked in public accounting performing audit and tax work in a variety of industries and went back to college and earned my MBA and obtained my CPA license. From there I moved into private accounting working as the Cost Accounting Manager for a manufacturing company. It was in this position that I discovered my passion for helping people. From implementing new software, to training people, custom report building and general troubleshooting of the accounting system my favorite part was it allowed me to help the different departments to have accurate, real-time information needed to make their daily business decisions. I knew from here I wanted to be able to give more businesses like yours the numbers they needed to succeed in making their important decisions.
